Could you imagine a pair of jeans that actually moisturizes your legs as you’re wearing them and may also help reduce the appearance of cellulite?
I know what you’re thinking…me neither. It sounds like something from a sci fi flick. But is it really too good to be true? Wrangler has come out this year with a new line of spa
treatment jeans that combine fashion, innovation, and function. Skin care ingredients are contained in tiny capsules that are embedded in the fabric fibers. These ingredients are activated upon contact with the skin.
Wrangler’s new line includes three types of jeans:
1. Olive Extract – these jeans have squalene oil, a material obtained from olives, within the fibers. It acts as a toner, antioxidant, and antibacterial, and promotes cell growth.
2. Aloe Vera – the aloe Vera jeans are supposed to aid in hydrating and smoothing your skin, as with the general functions of aloe Vera. This pair of jeans come in a mid-tone blue and
has a mild scent of aloe Vera.
3. Smooth Legs – Meant to reduce the appearance of cellulite, this pair of jeans comes in a dark hue. It consists of sea kelp, retinol and caffeine.
Perhaps the greatest excitement surrounding these jeans is, you guessed it, the claimed anti-cellulite functions. According to a test done in France, women were asked to wear the jeans 8 hours, 5 days a week for a month and a half. Most women reported that they witnessed a reduction in their cellulite appearance.
So I guess if you have no problem wearing the same pair of jeans for so long each time, perhaps this is a good solution. For now, before I try out the Smooth Legs jeans or see the “before” and after, I remain skeptical.
As for the olive extract and aloe Vera jeans, I have no doubt these moisturize your skin. The very idea that jeans could be multifunctional like this is thrilling. It truly marks a new era in fashion.
